There's a lot of light all over the place in this piece! Are these your own hand-dyed fabrics? I love the shadow branches. Nice balance of verticals and horizontals.
Carol, this is great! The choice to use orange's complement really worked. I'm curious...were any of these components taken from other blocks which you had previously constructed,or did you piece all of this specifically for this work? Nice job!
No, all constructed for this piece. But you know me.......I work quickly and intuitively........... I will look up who died these fabrics.....I think Jill Dosher. I loved working with them. If you want her name and info I will get it. I picked them up at Somerset NJ show....she works with printing plates and had some wonderful pieces. I think she is from Skaneateles NY................but let me know if you're interested and i will look it up...............
