Next Challenge Word!

Hi All,

I didn't keep you in suspense intentionally! I'm just home from work and leaving shortly for yoga class. I have a long list of potential challenge words...The one I have chosen is a bit self serving, I'm afraid. In my continuing attempt to stop being so literal...I have chosen the word serendipity as our next word. It's one of my favorite words. I wish you all lots of fun playing with it!

About Us

Art 1016 is a challenge community of six art quilters, the brainchild of Deborah MacDonald, who began to enlist like-minded quilters in the summer of 2011. Our name, with a nod to the Golden Mean, refers to the dimension requirements of our quilts: each side must be at least 10 inches but not longer than 18 inches. Beginning January 1, 2012, a new theme word, chosen by a different member each time, is announced on the first of the month with the completed quilts revealed two months later. Scattered throughout the United States and Europe, we are united by this bimonthly challenge. The path we each take to meeting these challenges reflects the variety of our unique experiences and preferences, but we all love to play with color, shape,and fabric.
